Trying to set up DNS address so i can use a windows XP with to nics to connect to windows vista htpc. Below are the XP settings. VIA Rhine II connects to a Live Box. NETGEAR GA311 connects to a switch which i want to connect to the Visat PC, Any ideas if below settings are correct and what settings to use on vista PC? Vista ip is 192.168.0.125.
I have a Gigabit 5 port switch connected to an XP PC which i want to network too a vista PC. The XP PC has two NIC's and the vista PC keeps saying Limited connection, Can not connect between each other, It may do if disable a NIC on XP but i want to use the other nic for internet connection on XP, So Basically, XP pc 1 nic network, 1 Nic Intternet. And Vista PC connects to XP pc to use internet and file sharing, Thks.
Ok I have given up with DNS, I have connected to Vista PC from XP Pc, by turning password protection ON in vista network settings. I can access everthing on XP PC, But i can not access the internet or the XP Pc using Vista PC. So Network and switch is work, File sharing is turned on in both PC's, Can not see any event errors, Not sure where to go? Please help.
