Hi, I have a JP 360 that I got from a friend. It was flashed a while ago (maybe a year). Anyway, my recent backups (Windata discs) tend to stutter and make horrible loading sounds or freeze altogether. Weird thing is, I put one of the backups that is region-free (still Windata) in my US console and it works with no problem... I played an original game in the JP system and it worked fine, then I tried an older Verbatim backup (made in January or so) and it also plays without a hitch. Is the laser in the JP system going or do I need to update the flash or what could it possibly be?

lasers can be slightly different between each system, what works on one and is read nicely may not on another. No matter what region they are.
My suggestion is to use what the majority of people are using that is proven to work, and that is Verbatim discs.
