I have issues with my game dropping connection all the time. In one month I have a -40 in ranking due to the drops. I had my modem fixed so it helps, but on occasion i have no choice but to play thru a wireless router. Does anyone know of a router that works good? I have a linksys now and its a POS. I do have the 360 running thru ethernet.

I had a lynksys wrt54g router and it sucked too. I got a Belkin from Wal Mart and it's done fine, it was like $40

check your NAT settings, if they are strict, then reset you router to default settings.....after that its still stric, your router is not compatable.

either the NAT is not "open" or your router is too far away from your wireless adapter. Mine did the same things until i got a 50' CAT5 cable ($12 CompUSA) and moved my wireless adapter closer to the room the router was in. Now i never drop at all.

If you are 50' or more some connections will tend to drop.

My router sits on top my modem, and I am hard wired to the router. I have about as open a NAT as possible, my 360 is in my routers DMZ. I think its just a POS. So belkins work better?

If you are wired directly to the router with a CAT5 cable then either the router is no good, meaniong your other connections like your PC would also be having problems. Or you have something set up wrong either on the 360 or your router settings.
I suppose you also forwarded the Xbox Live ports in your router? This is not needed with all routers but it would not hurt anything to do it.
