Hey everyone. I was talking to a friend not long ago about how he got booted from Xbox Live for playing a ripped game online. Upon talking about this, I then thought about the PSP and its limitations, if any.

I was wondering for anyone who knows, could you get booted or get in any trouble for playing ISO games online? I know PSP isn't really part of an online community yet.

Don't get me wrong though, I totally support the developers and their games by buying them. It was merely just a ponder.

i never heard of anyone being banned

i played several isos from the memory stick in my psp with a custom firmware and i never had any problems

Yeah see that's what I thought. I figured it's not an establishment like Xbox Live, and maybe it could also be because right now the online isn't as popular or as wide in terms of users and compatible games.

no you cant get booted or banned...the online play that sony offers isn't monitored hence the reason its free. Xbox live you have to pay to play, its monitored consistantly, and theres an option to report gamers who are breaking rules.

Difference between them is huge. So you'll be safe until sony decides to implement some sort of payment for their online play.
