I heard another rumor about Nintendo selling Wii consoles with mod chips already installed and tested by authorized centers, and selling game images online for immediate download.
Go figure!
Where's the party?!?

Yeah the majority of us know as you can probily tell by rafadawns post, think cthecope is just a total noob, think XdjxedxdX just hasn't realized what it was or is just bit of noob to this section, and I was pointing out with some sarcasm (which is hard to get into the written word) that they are D2C's.

I swear I thought forums were on here for support not discouragement. The way you guys are talking is pretty much discouragement to some members and it looks like the post are coming from the veteran members at that. I think that if a member uses this site he/she expects support. If im not mistaking wasnt all you jr and sr. members once a noob/newbie? Please have some respect for your fellow members that ask for help.

If you buy a new Wii likely hood is it will be a D2C chipset, so it a D2CKey or an infectus. You might still get a older chipset in which case you would be able to use a Cyclowiz.
If you buy a Wii you can check what chipset is in it by looking up the serial here.
juniR said this last week and I think he sums it up perfectly.

No offense was intended and I hope we haven't put you of posting again or becoming a regular.
This subject has been written about several times and some basic research would have given you this information, so next time do a bit of research and give us a bit more information.

this is exactly why i don't post a lot in the wii section anymore. A majority of "noobs" don't use the search function and get ticked off when the "veterans" poke fun or get mad themselves. This forum is dilluted with regurgitated information and noobs still don't understand why other members get aggrivated. Stay around for a a couple months and you will understand; by then you won't be a noob anymore, and for good reason. Please...go lecture me somewhere else.

some of the older LG drives do it a little quicker almost 45 min, but if you've already got you drive I suppose your stuck with it at 2 1/2 hours , but before rawdump 2.0 it used to take allot longer.
Originally posted by uou: The older models actually rip slightly faster, even though they are lower DMA speeds. Here is the same 1.5 GB NGC disc ripped in the same system, but with different DVD-ROM models:
8162B Ultra DMA 2 2599MB/hour 32:08
8161B Ultra DMA 2 2554MB/hour 32:42
8163B Ultra DMA 2 1902MB/hour 43:55
8164B Ultra DMA 3 1780MB/hour 46:57
Based off this testing, the 8162 and 8161 should be able to rip a 4.5 GB DVD nearly 45 minutes faster than the 8164.
Enjoy that tip! :)
Pay less, get a faster rip.
