Hello,
My question is do you have to Pay the $50 bucks for the Microsoft
HDMI Cable or will a regular one do?

Also If you just use Component over HDMI is 1080i the Highest
Resolution you can get on HD TV's?

you can use any hdmi cable and 1080i is the maximum avaiable through component. You need VGA or HDMI for 1080p
