Good day

Unfortunately I dropped my PSP a few weeks ago. It was really stupid just knocked the thing from my desk. When it hit the floor battery jumped out. I did not think much of it. Put the battery back started it up. BAM no backlight. Picture, sound, and controls are ok.

I am an electronics technician so was not afraid to pull the psp apart. Checked for cracks, fusses. All ok. Checked voltage on backlight connector That was 6V. So i taught easy and ordered a new LCD screen with backlight board. Only because I could not find back light board separately. Got new LCD in yesterday. Installed it and bam still nothing.. DARN. checked voltage again on connector 6V pushed the dim button. No voltage drop. SO I reckon 6V is to low for the backlight board??? That would be weird. Back light board is noting more than 4 or 5 little (xenon or something)gas lamps in series with at the end a diode.

So does anybody have any ideas. A schematic or at least a block diagram would be helpful. Probably I cracked the board somewhere were it needs to make contact to negative ground. With those kinds of cracks you always measure some shotty weird voltages. But with out some schematics or help from you goes I am just measuring in the dark here.
