unreadable disk only on backups?

Hi,
can anyone please help. My consol stared to get the disk unreadable around the dec upadte. now every time i put a copied disc in i get the message disc unreadable, but my original dvd's play fine everytime. do you think that its a laser isuse or something to do with this new update, because i carnt understand why it plays one and noy the other. should i go and by a new 360?

i had the same issue and it was a laser problem. I think the fact its around the update is completely coincedental. You can look for replacement drives on ebay which is much cheaper then a console
