Has anyone tried the UPMS Emerald Installer Public Release??

I seem to be stuck at Step#3 cos it could not detect the 150.PBP update despite it was already there in the root directory and then the whole process just boot back to XMB.

Try the 2nd time and same result but my battery seems stuff now. Only green light and the psp is totally black.Took the battery out and put it back in again still green light and black screen.Put a 2nd battery in and everything is normal again.

Is my battery totally stuff now??
Please help enlighten!!

It sounds like you already converted your Battery to a Pandora Battery. Now all you need to do is get the Magic Memory Stick working properly.

Try renaming the 150.PBP to just 150 drop the .PBP

You will probably have to do the same for the 371.PBP drop the .PBP and just name it 371

Sometimes the PC will hide the extension of the file. If it is hidden and you rename it to 150.PBP it is actually named 150.PBP.PBP this is why the UMPS can not find the 150.PBP file.

After you have renamed the files to 150 and 371 run the U.P.M.S again to make the Magic Memory Stick.

thanks larrylje

Can't wait to try again man but my screen is totally black.

Also it seems to boot normally by just using the power adapter so does that mean I can run the UPMS this way to make the Magic Stick?

Another query is apart from having 150 and 371 in the root directory,
do I need 340 and UPDATE.PBP as well which I did not install during
my attempts. Just found this info after reading more posts.

I'll wait to hear more from you before I venture any further.

Thanks again

Yeap just power on using the AC Adapter.

Since you have the UPMS Emerald version you don't need 340 or the UPDATE.PBP The newest version creates the UPDATE.PBP by itself.

So all you should have to do is add the U.P.M.S CSO file and the 150 371 files.

Hi larrylje

Wow I think I've done it man cos I got the menu for the 3 wise options.
It worked I guess. Thank you and thank goodness.

I intend to keep the Magic memstick as is but unsure about the Pandora Battery. Do I really have to convert it back to normal before I can use it again to play games?

Thanks

Just remembered....

My pandora battery had been backup before during the installing process
a couple of times and each time I formatted me MS for a fresh start. Now I don't recall having the backup eeproms on my MS.

What can I do to get this backup eeproms again?

You can keep the Battery as a Pandora Battery but you need to install Boosters Multi-IPL to memory Stick.

This will let you boot normal to the PSP battery by just turning it on. If you want to boot to the Magic Memory Stick you press L-Trigger for 4 seconds which will boot to the Ultimate Magic memory Stick.

The only thing is you need to install Boosters Multi-IPL to all your Memory Sticks. To do this you will need to put the UPMS installer CSO file onto the Memory Stick. Then go to Game Menu Memory Stick and run it.

When the installer comes up select Step 1 IPL Tools

Then select Install Boosters Multi-IPL to memory Stick

After it installs that then go back and select install sleep fix multi-IPL to memory Stick.

The Memory Stick is now modified to let your Pandora Battery start normally. If you place the Magic Memory Stick in to a PSP for use make sure you hold the L-Trigger button down for 4 seconds after turning on the PSP so it can boot to the UPMS menu.

Repeat above steps on all your Memory Sticks you have.
