I dont know what this thing where i can connect them both and use them both at the same time(xbox live and my pc internet) whats it called and where can i get it(will it slow down the internet or lag my gameplay)

Get A router A swithc if u have DSL

Or a crossover cable with a new ethernet port.

Check for how to Bridge connections
