Hi,

Hope i have the correct forum section...if not my apologies.

I am running 5.52 m33-4 firmware on my PSP.

I ripped and converted my FF7 cd's to run on the PSP and they work fine (i used autopostation 4) however now i am trying to rip my FF8 CD's ( i have the original game) but for some reason it isnt working with the same settings as FF7. I have even tried the iso on a PSX emulator and it does the same thing.

I get the PSX boot screen and the health and safety PSP warning but then the screen goes black and nothing happens.

This is identical on both the PSP and PSX emulator.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

sorry type 'o.

yes i am running 3.52 M33-4.

I see people have got this game working.

Is there a better/alternative iso/eboot creator that may work better than autopostation 4?

Try searching from dl.qj.net and I'm using autopopstation 4 and I had no problems so far it works great...
:)

Maybe you made some mistake or something..

i'm beginning to think my disk is knackered. Physically it looks good and little to no marks.

My PSX emulator on the PC does the same flash screen (PS europe one) and then the black screen.

any ideas? I tried downloading a backup but again that does the same!

Use PSX2PSP to convert the game. You can get it HERE.

You could also try using the popsloader plugin. Maybe the game doesn't like the 3.52 kernel. Using a popsloader plugin will let you emulate other kernel version that possibly could work better for that particular game.

Go HERE and download the plugin. Make sure you download the 3.52 M33-4 version and then follow the guide for instillation and use.

can someone help me please I have tried popsloader, postation and even psxp emulator and I still can't get ff8 to work oon my psp.
my psp is v3.52m33-3 and I ripped the original games onto bin format and converted them into eboot. is it because it is a platnium edition? because when I try to do it through popstation it says do you want to do pal to ntsc fix and when I do that it still doesn't work.
