Think I could use a plastic needle for removing the 5th pin or put tape, something, to cover the other pins on a psp battery so I don't cause it to go short circuit?

Think it could short circuit if I touched pin 5 and 6 at the same time with a plastic needle? (Plastic I know, but I don't want to take any chances with the pins that close to each other.)

Also, will a hardmod of the old psp battery work for slim? Last, opinion if I should just buy the old one or new one if I'll hardmod?
