What version is your system software? Check this by going into the system settings menu on your psp...

Assuming you are running a custom firmware (which is what is needed to play downloaded games)- you will need to first format your memory stick via the same system settings menu...What this will do is create the folder directory for you on your memory stick...

The games you downloaded should be in .iso or .cso format-Connect your psp to the computer via the USB cable and transfer the game files to the ISO folder on your memory stick...Homebrew/emulators go in either the GAME folder or the GAME150 folder depending on the emulator/program-for example: say you have the NES (Nintendo) emulator, it would go into your GAME folder-(ms0:/PSP/GAME/nesterj)

To run your iso/cso games from the memory stick-make sure your UMD setting is correct..If you are running 3.52M33, press the home button while in the XMB menu and scroll to ISO MODE, select that until it reads 'SONY NP9660'-That way you can run your games without having a UMD disc in the drive...If you are running 3.71M33 and up, press the 'select' button instead....

Of course this is assuming you are running custom firmware-If not, do some research on how to downgrade..There are plenty of guides on these forums for doing so...

Good Luck!

Uh-oh...You will need a pandora battery and magic memory stick to downgrade..Unfortunately, you wont be able to play any downloaded games or anything like that until you do so.

As far as where to get your games, try your favorite torrent site. You will need a client such as uTorrent or BitLord to download them.

Those are the tools you will need to get your psp downgraded-essentially the pandora battery is a normal psp battery that has been modified via software to work in conjunction with certain files that have been written to the memory stick....

You can buy a pre-made set on eBay, which can be convenient and expensive at the same time. Or if you know someone that has a psp already running custom firmware, you could have them make one for you..There are plenty of guides on these forums to have a look at so you can get a better understanding of what is needed for your particular situation.

I do...Also, there are about four guides on the first page of the 'sony psp-mod and firmware discussion'-in this forum to choose from. I would recommend the one found HERE for your situation..Otherwise you will need to find someone that is already running custom firmware to make the battery.

If you are still having no luck and you have a spare battery and memory stick, and live in the states-I can make one for you. Just cover postage (about $10 for priority mail)

I am not really sure what this pandoras battery does as well the magic stick? I was reading some of the other posts that you had given to me but man I am having a hard time following. Maybe it would be best for me just to get one from you? What is all needed just the $10? I guess I just dont want to break my new psp I just want to download free games and movies! Thanks for all your patience and help

Not a problem, i know it can be overwhelming..

The Pandora battery was originally released for unbricking psp's that have had a bad firmware written to it-usually caused by interrupting power while doing a firmware update, or by other programs that write to the psp's internal memory or flash(NAND)

The memory stick has files on it that work with the battery to boot the psp into what is known as 'service mode' -The same thing Sony uses if you were to send your psp to them for software related repairs...

When used together, they can bring a dead psp back to life, because it has the files on the memory stick which rewrites the firmware to the psp's internal memory-Think of it like formatting your computer's hard drive, and starting out with a fresh install of Windows..

If you are still having trouble finding someone to make you a battery and memory stick, I can make one for you...
What I will need:
PSP Battery
Memory stick (512MB-1GB is best)
$$ to cover return postage ($5)(Its $10 total for sending to and from via USPS priority mail)
