I just bought a PSP-2001 (US). It is now running 3.71-4 M33. I bought a brand new 4GB Memory Stick PRO-HG Duo. My PSP reads the full 4GB perfectly. Sony states (in theory) this new memory stick technology has a 60MB/sec Transfer Speed. Since Sony technicians don't have an answer, I'll ask the experts here.

1. Does the PSP support 8-bit parallel transfer?
2. What is the PSP's (the unit itself) maximum read/write capabilities?
3. Where is the bottleneck for read/write transfer?

Sorry bout that. I talked to a Sony tech on the phone, he didn't have any answers. Waited 2 weeks for an email just to have another tech say he didn't know. Just wanted to see if anyone here had any experience with the architecture of a PSP and happened to know these answers.
