PSP won't stop scrolling

I recently replaced the LED screen and light source myself. Now once the unit has booted up it won't stop scrolling. It's acting as if the the directional control is stuck. I have disassembled and reassembled the screen and light source multiple times but this has notfixedthe problem.

Had the same issue but it was not because I replaced my scree. You have to take it apart again and clean the the contacts under the thump stick or the dpad. I did it foe mine and my co-workers son's psp. Both have not had it happen anymore.

At the time I used a q-tip with a bit of alcohol. Just enough alcohol to get some moisture onto the contact to get the dirt off. But If I were to do it over I would use compress air and a micro fiber.
