Hey all hope your having good holidays. My 360 has been acting up lately. It has randomly froze and even red ringed twice. But when it red ringed i just turened it off for about 10 mins and it worked fine. Should i towel trick it? I really done want to send it in. Im preety sure the warrenty has expired and I dont want to wait 2 months to get it back. Please help!

If it is still playable don't mess with it. I wouldn't towel trick it until the 360 is completely RRoD'd casue you could cause even more problems. The towel trick is a last resort method.

The 360s warranty is 3 years for RRoDs now so check to see when you purchased it. If you bought it in 2005 you are more or less SOL, but if you got it in 2006 or 2007 you are eligible for free repair.

Its a method used to force a 360 to overheat to re-seat the processor(s). You basically wrap a large towel around the 360 making sure to block all the vents. Some say it works while others say it doesn't, and IMO if you have a 360 that is out of warranty and it totally RRoD'd then its worth a shot.
