Will a Wii purchased in Australia work in USA

I recently bought a Nintendo Wii and have now been transferred to the USA. The Wii was bought in Australia which is PAL. I see that there are power adapters that can be purchased, but will this Wii work in the US with NTSC TVs?

u can alter tv settings from 50hz to 60 hz in settings

My Pal TV is NTSC compatible so I think it probably depends on which TV you buy, but you can get a PAL to NTSC converter like this seen them cheaper but this was the first one I found.

just remember to keep it updated through net as it will need pal updates not the ones off us discs

also some shop bought us games will not work

Are saying that the wii will work then in the USA with an NTSC tv as long as I keep it updated and buy the correct power cord.

Yes it will work, you will need a replacement power supply or power converter, and possibly a PAL to NTSC converter.

What Thinone said is that you'll need to keep it updated via the internet, as an update from a new US game would brick or semi-brick your console, and not all NTSC-US games are compatible with a PAL Wii.
