The chip is in the Xbox but when the Chip is turn on with switches the xbox turns on and off then i get a Red flashing light near the Cd rom Opener. When the chip is turned off the xbox works fine and boots up. As soon as the chip is turned and the xbox turned on the Xbox shuts it self off then reboots then a red light flashes. All the solder connections look good"Do" Conection. The two blue lights come on the x-ecuter 2.3 lite modchip. what could be the problem. Do i have a Bad chip?
I read on the net that if the dvd rom opens that mean s you have to reflash the Bios on the chip. But the Dvd-Rom DOESN"T OPEN. I just get a Blaning Red and green light.
Any ideas?????

We emailed the company with this, we couldn't get it to work yet, it's pissing me off. Here is what my tech guy wrote up on my xbox.
Dialog
Question:
I have installed the LPC points over and over again, and all soulder jobs are clean. The D0 point is installed correctly.
When the xbox is powered up with the mod disabled, it boots fine.
When I enable the mod on either bank and power up the machine, I get a power on / power off / power on / power off / power on.. red green flashing lights. What many people are calling a power cycle.
Now, I am running this in a ver 1.5 xbox, and I understand that the cromwell bios is not compatable with that version of xbox. The DVD tray is NOT ejecting, and booting with a CD-RW with another bios is not working either.
It is my understanding that the D0 simply allows the bios to load, and if that wasnt sauldered correctly, then the xbox wouldnt boot at all. The LPC points feed the bios to the system.
Could a bad cromwell flash on either bank cause this, or is it a possibility that the chip is not responding correctly?
Any and all information would be extremely helpful

My tech guy is not here, BUt
flash the bios no, we put a CD-RW in the drive with the Bios but it wouldn't read it. It just power on/ power off 3 times then nothing. That's when the chip is switched to enabled and on either bank.
Bring it on!

The twice booting and the red green means no bios in any memory bank.

ok jdam your dvd drive in your xbox wont read the disk,i had this same problem.i pulled the one out of my computer and hook it up to the xbox.now get your bios you need to flash your bios.burn it to a cd-rw and put in drive.if i remember its a two step process.its been awhile for me.ok im not sure what board you have.but mine is the v1.0.so i have two cds one with oxflash on it and the other with the bios(4977).now when you put the first cd in let it do its thing.then it will eject put the other disk in but DO NOT close the tray it will do it by its self.you should see alot of linux commands.after you flash the bios reboot,if you dont have slayer installed put the cd in and reboot.this should help you out.hope all goes good.

no jason switching the drives is just so you can read the cd-rw disk.if you havent flashed your bios then you need too.since your dvd drive in your xbox wont read the disk you have to swap.before you flash make sure you pick the right bios for your xbox.

ok jason from what im getting from your post.when you boot up your box it flashes 3 times then shuts down.if this is so check and make sure you did a good job putting in your chip.CHECK THE CHIP AGAIN.im not sure about dvd-r i used a cd-rw with the bios on it but i have two disk.like i said before its a 2 step process.ok when you swap drives this is what you do .disconnect the dvd drive in your xbox, put a dvd drive in from your pc,put your first disk in reboot and let it do it thing.then put in your second disk do not close the tray it will do it the you should be good to go.

something wierd just happened... i had installed the chip w/ the pin headers and the screen was black and the cdrom popped open(im like yes) but i flashed w/ xecuter 2.4974 bios and when it was done it had shutdown...when i tried to reboot it still flshes... does this mean the bios is not compatible w/ the xecuter 2.3 lite chip?? if not i have found some bios but they are 256 kb and all the convertors i have arent compat. w/ XP so i cant convert...can some 1 send me good bios that werx well w/ the 2.3 thats already a 1mb file or watever it needs to run (already converted)

But my xbox 1.5 the DVDRom doesn't open. I know that if it did open when i powered up i would have to flash the Bios. But the Xbox jsut goes into a power cycle.
