Chip Off
Boots fine to xbox screen
Chip enabled on bank 1 or 2
On/OFF 3 times, Flashing DVD BUTTON red/ Green and black screen. THE DVD ROM tray doesn't open.
Is that what yours was?
My wires are low and the chip is kind of low.

I got it from modchip.ca too. I wonder if there is a major problem with those chips. I'll ask my tech guy about that. He's at a hotel party getting loaded. it might take a day. He knows all the tricks. But i did buy from modchip.ca. I posted a ticket for some help, then they added the 2.3 install page. But i'm still having problems. It won't work right :(

Ok, I hope anyone who has been helped with this before will respond! I hope i get like 10 responses!
I have the XECUTER 2.3 LITE PLUS chip and a version (I believe...) 1.4 xbox...idk I bought it a week ago.
I scraped and I scraped and I scraped the DO point, I see copper not metal I am pretty sure I got it good.... I have the chip on enable....unprotected....and bank 1 like the guy at my store said it should be. Before I would get 2 blue lights on the xbox, and 1 green light on the switch w/ enable/disable etc, and the xbox just loads up normal, everything works fine, but it loads up w/ m$ bios.
Now, it either blinks green for 3 times every few seconds, then goes green/red/green/red or just a steady yellow...or I can take off the chip and it works......
What do I have to do! I have moved the chip around a MILLION times.... it seems like its gettin somewhere new since it doesnt load up xbox normal bios when the chip is on, and when its off its fine, but I NEVER get the green LED4 light on the chip to come on. No matter what I do. Someoen said something about scraping the pin on the modchip that plugs into DO?? I'll try that, along with the tinfoil plan, but what is some more advice! My brother is home in 2 days and Im trying to do this for him for xmas. I already did my own chameleon modchip, so I have some backround in the topic. Please help!!
P.S. My LPC points are all open, I didnt have to de-solder anything...if that could be anything. Also, I have some little gold cylinder pins from a chameleon modchip left over that fit in the lpc points if that could help at all...

On the first page of this thread I posted that you need M7 or 4979. I flashed my 2.3 with 4977 and it dose not work. I tried a hotswap but no luck. I am gonna try it again. I ordered a new 2.3 and flashed it with M7 and it works fine.

I've got a response from my supplier, They told me to send the chip back for testing, could be a bad ground or bad flash. So i'm getting my xbox softmod in the mean time. I'll update soon. Hope you guys find a solution. I know it's a huge piss off when something doesn't work, believe me 3 weeks is a long time to have a xbox that i never played and modchip. GOOD LUCK
Bring it on!

This is happening to me too. 3x reboot and flashing light.
I have a brand new 1.5 XBox and an Xecutor 2.3 lite from modchip.ca
I'm currently using the header pins. Wouldn't this circumvent the problem which is resolved by ensuring the wires are close to the board?
D0 is definitely wired right, everything's properly grounded, etc. etc. I have an external programmer en route -- would flashing the chip do the trick, or is this just a batch of duds from Modchip.ca?
Kind regards,
SparQy.

Would taking hte tape off the xecuter 2.3 lite plus cause it not to work?? If so, that could be my problem, because I just found out that your supposed to leave it on. Please let me know. Thanks.

I also got my chip from Modchip.ca 2.3 lite i have 1.5 xbox. same problems. The compnay said they would test it out. I thought that this was a wasy job. Chips are alot more complex then sites say. I'll keep you post what happens, but i expect it will take a couple of days or even a week before i see my chip back. Maybe it is a bad batch. who knows. But it seems alot of people have the smae problems. Yes i would think that if you used the pins that would sloved the problem. I'm using the wires. Let me know if your status changes or what you did to ge it to work. I'm sending my chip back to get tested. On the ticket help they said that it could be a bad ground or bad flash.
