Hi all

Just wondering if anyone encountered this problem or knows how to fix this.

My dpad seems to be moving by itself in a few situations:
1. When I try to change my PSP nickname in the system settings, the cursor is stuck on the left, as if the left button is stuck...Otherwise I can browse around the PSP menus without any problems.
2. When I am in a game, and I press the home button to exit, I cannot move to the left to the YES option to exit! Actually even if I press X on the NO option, it doesn't respond. Pressing X is actually "activating" a selection in the game running in the background...
3. In game menus. Just an example, in ridge racer, when I click on continue to continue a previous game, the menu scrolls down as if the down button is stuck...

I am using 3.71m33. Not sure if this is a coincidence or not but I started having this problem a little while after installing 3.71m33. ALthough I must say I did play for a day or 2 before that problem occurred. And also I installed the same firmware on another similar psp without any problems. I've even downgraded back to 1.5 and then the problem still remained in 1.5..I've browsed around but I haven't seen any reports of such glitches...

I've also tried cleaning the buttons and dpad.. but that didnt help..

hopefully someone can help.. im at a loss here

But to answer your question Staxx, yes I did open it up and clean it..

Also if you can check my other thread with more details, I find it strange why the button would be stuck only in certain situations.. e.g. it's stuck on the left when i try to change my psp nickname.. but not when i am in the psp "menus"
Very weird, and you say it only happens in those areas? or does it happen randomly as well?

Yea I saw:P

But I did clean it, and it wasn't even that dirty to begin with...

But maybe i can try to clean it again.. Anyway if its dirt, why would it be stuck only in some situations??

Hmm I think i was mistaken all along.. It's not the dbad and buttons that was stuck... it was the L button!!

I tapped it a bit, and the problems are now non existent..

thank god.. now i'll try to clean it a bit i suppose..

thanks staxx :P
