So I bought a new 360 for the sole purpose of playing back-ups. I've kept my old 360 untouched because of the bannings, and it seems that it was probably a good idea......
The new 360 is modded with ixtreme, works great, back-ups play fine. I just now hooked it up to the net, and attempted to retrieve my GT to see if I could use Live. It said it needed an update from Live first, so I went ahead and let the update proceed (I had no choice).
It got to the end of downloading the update, then said the update failed. I turned the 360 off then back on again, and tried to do the update again. It now says it can't connect at all. I ran the connection test and it says that my network adapter is disconnected, even though it is not.
I'm assuming that it won't connect because it's flashed, but what do you guys think?
Edit: Also, I tried to burn a game using imgburn and DVD-R, but it said unable to set layer break (I set the layer break manually in settings>write>layer break), so can I burn the iso if I just drag and drop the dvd file, instead of using the manual layer break? Or can you not burn DVD-R period and even if you can, are they not recommended?
If you burn the .DVD file you do not need to set the layer break.
It may be something in the way you have the connection set up. of the failed update may have messed something up, flashed consoles unless they are banned can access live just fine.
