Hi all

DvdFab fails to get Dvd info on any DVD used on my PC. I have used DvdFab successfully many of times in the past. Now it can read VIDEO_TS files that have been ripped to my HardDrive previously, but it won't do it with my DVD burner any more. I know the DVD burner still works because it still recognizes Dvds with other backup software.

What I have done so far:
1.Un-installed and re-installed DvdFab 4012 too many times to count.
2.Dvd burner tested successfully with other reading and backup software.
3.I have turned off all non-essential software on PC
4.DvdFab 3020 recognizes my drive, but 4012 does not.
5.I have turned off autoplay long time ago to make sure any Dvd scheme doesnt toast my burner, but it seems to me that must be the case here.

I have successfully used DvdFab in the past plenty of times.
Happy to hear any suggestions.

Thankyou in Advance

There's a newer beta version out. You might try that

i been having trouble with dvdfab also sometimes the rip is getting messed up. unable to open file in shrink, recode,or clone, the lastest Vs
have help but its not cured yet..
some of the dvd's shrink can handle alone..so you can assume it's a dvdfab issue

edit missed that you said any dvd placed in drive does not read only with dvdfab.. so other softwares can ripp and read fine?

I un-installed 4012, and I installed the latest beta, but it was no go.

Sounds like I would be thinking it's a hardware issue with DVD drive. Do you have any other programs, like Shrink, that would regonize a disc when inserted ? Are they working ? I assume that since you have re-installed DVD Fab so many times that there are no options unchecked ? I see there are some option in the tool button under DVD read

try using the free trial of clonedvd 2 + anydvd and see if that works, you may have some confliting software which sometimes can be a bitch to figure out which programs are causing it

It is recognized by shrink and other programs and it is recognized by earlier versions of DVDfab, but none of the latest incarnations of it. Including beta.
