i have 3.71m33 and when i try to update my psp to 3.72 ofw it says:

The system cannot be updated.
The update data is not applicable for this
system.
(CTA80000025)

before i have had some problems with my psp and i restored my friends psp nand backup to my own and after that i have this problem.
i tried key cleaner but it says all of keys are okey.
plz hlp me

you need to go back to 1.5 before upgrading to 3.72 sony firmware

maybe you need to fix the idstorage before upgrading

If you have the Universal Unbricker V3 + Pandora Battery use it to install 3.71 official firmware (Press O) then try updating to 3.72 official from there.

But more then likely it is due to using someone else's NAND and not restoring your ID Storage settings with a backup of your own NAND. Your to late for this saeeid if you restored your friends NAND to your PSP already. You would have needed to backup your NAND first before restoring your friends NAND to your PSP.

The correct way to do this if you do not have a NAND backup to restore your settings is to back up your NAND dump first before restoring someone else's NAND dump to your PSP. After you backup your NAND then restore someone else's NAND to your PSP you then use another application to restore your ID Storage settings back to your PSP from your NAND Dump.

I know it sounds complicated but it is explained in more detail HERE if anyone is interested (this is for FAT PSP only).

the thread is titled: "messed up system configuration 3.80???"

and this guy that used to have the same problem describes the solution.
