Yeah, a lot of people experience slower download speeds on their PS3 than on their computer. e.g.:I download a 1 gig file in about 20 minutes and it takes one to two hours on my PS3.

For the record, no downloads that I've ever done on my PS3 have taken longer than 15-20 minutes--and 20 minutes is pushing it. Usually, if I'm downloading a game demo, maybe about 8-10 minutes. I'm also doing this wirelessly.

How fast is your network clocked at?

I meant what's the speed of your wireless network: 54 mbps, 108 etc. For what it's worth, mine is 54 G, I think.

doubldown is my username (it's in the gamer card in my signature).

Far as Demo's it depend if alot of people are downloading at the same time as you this would make it slow. But the new content hit PSN on Thursdays 6 or 7 est I don't even try to downloading anything from there because so many people downloading at the same time which make getting anything from there take a very long time.I download new demo etc from the store on Fridays alot quicker.
