I just used the 2.71 downgrading method on http://forums.qj.net/f-psp-hacks-9/t-gui...uide-90916.html
and everything went fine and it told me to restart the psp. I did and when it turns back on nothing happens and the screen is black but the light turns on. Did i just brick the psp?

yes, if the XMB doesnt show. Use Pandora to fix it. Plz google or check the sticky in the MOd and Firmware section

Ok, do i need a psp that works though to make the battery? When i connect it to the computer and turn it on it doesnt recognize it.

How would i do that, buying another psp isn't really an option and i dont know anyone else who owns one.
