instead of getting a PSP slim i have gotten a PSP, im not sure what the name is but i have a firmware version of 3.71, i also have a 2gb memory card for the psp. The problem is that i only have 1 battery, 1 2gb memory stick and 1 psp. Please tell me how i can downgrade my psp without loosing a memory stick and a battery. Any way i have heard that i need a magic memory , and pandora's battery. I also know that i need to open my battery to convert it. Please give detailed instructions, because i do not want to brick my psp.

I just used it but i had a hard time getting the battery open and i did puncture it so be careful. Just use an exacto knife and cut along the sides a bunch of times. use a needle or a safety pin to get the 5 pin out. I am stuck on the memory stick right now though. Tryed turning it on with the memory stick not properly made and now my computer won't read the memory stick. 4 gb stick down the drain. just be careful

Better guide to make a Pandora Battery:
http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/591203
NOTE: Ignore the second picture of the battery in the above guide.

To make a Magic Memory Stick, use this: http://dl.qj.net/TOTALNewbi-easyInstalle...14749/catid/193
NOTE: When you reach the end of the Magic Memory Stick installation proccess, it will ask what you want to do with the Memory Stick. Type "4" and press ENTER.

And if you want to turn you Memory Stick back to normal, just format it with your PSP. Once you Hard-Mod the battery, there will be no way to turn it back to normal.

I bought the Sony 2200 MAH battery Pack to use for my PSP and turned the original Battery that came with my PSP into a Pandora Battery.

Format the Memory Stick with your PSP and re-install the files with the easy installer I linked you.

If you buy a new Memory Stick, buy a SanDisk 1GB. They are the perfect type of stick to use when making a Magic Memory Stick. Whatever you do, DO NOT buy from Ebay. There are so many fake sticks floating around on there.

Did your battery work after you punctured it? I think I punctured mine because there was some green gas(o.o'') leaking out. Now I'm too scared to open it any further much less put it in my psp.
