i am pretty sure there has been some that were banned, but i don't think it was because firmware they say they are banning even if people have fan mods and everything, so who knows..

I was told that somehow Microsoft can see the speed at which the Dvd DL was burned at, and that is how they are currently banning 360 consoles.
I do not even play online with my 360 and yet last week my console was banned by Microsoft.
