Does steam make the warranty sticker come off with out messing it up?

So ive heard that using steam or any sort of heat to make the glue become sticky will let the sticker come free with out messing it up...is that true? i need to know because i was trying to open the xbox but i couldnt get the out side(plastic case) off and i said screw it and just left it alone and now after like a week or so ago it comes up with message error E 47 and im gonna send it back after the sticker was cut and my friend is gonna let me have his sticker if i can get it off with out screwing it up. so please any help would be greatly appreciated.

LOL see no one wants to help you, this is a stupid f-ing question "steaming a sticker off", it's like WTF, you need help dude for real. You are trying to scam Microsoft and hope you get nailed, you f-ing cheater. You opened the 360 up, and you voided the warranty and you KNEW this. The mods should ban you for trying to scam Microsoft, you ruined your 360, go buy another.

dang didn't realize i could ruin my xbox by opening the plastic part damn i must be stupid.....and dude really the mods are more likely to ban you your flaming people...im defending people which sounds better?

I can't have an adult conversation with you because of your intelligence level, ok sure, you didn't read the part on the sticker that said you voided warranty if removed, please get real. I wish I knew your name so I could call Microsoft myself (and go to the highest level, if need be) and let them know of you trying to scam them by changing out stickers, people like you make me sick. Moderators, report his scam to his IP provider please. It's people like you who cause our prices to be so high, taking advantage of companies. Skinner -- yes, the OP asked a question that obviously was about cheating the warranty system. And yes, it was quite stupid to act like he "didn't know" he could mess up his system opening it. The moderators will do whatever they feel like with this thread, without your prompting.
I just recommend you choose your words a bit better: Calling Stevety immature while referring to his friend as a boyfriend, and acting like the proper response is for an ordinary "Joe Blow" to call Microsoft and talk to the top guy (Bill Gates?) or report his request to his IP (Uh, Mr. Cable Company, can you go slap the guy on IP address xx.xxx?)
Taunt or insult the OP all you want, but just try to not make yourself look as stupid as your 'victim'.

Out of the 2 Skinner2 seemed to make the bigest jerk out of himself. I would love to see mocroshaft get boned back after seeing some of my friends send their 360 in for repair 2 0r 3 times (3 red lights). And going without it for allmost three months.
And for Skinner2 to talk about a moderator wannabe I see other post where Skinner2 is trying to play moderator. Now that made me laugh.

Sorry if the alternative lifestyle people are upset at me for making fun of Stevety for cheating Microsoft; I just have the balls to say something about a scammer. Oosel, if you hate Microsoft so bad, why don't you just sell the 360 when you get it back and buy a PS3 and take off Windows on your computer? People like you who whine about Microsoft all day are annoying and yet still buy their products.

Just do what I do. Tell him it's a felony crime (here in the US) and be done with it. No need for name calling or insults.
Yes, I also hate when people try to cheat "the system"
It makes me even more mad when I have to work 6 days a week, 12 hours a day to just AFFORD a few games now and then.
But.. I do not come to the forums to cause issues. I do agree that if you don't have enough technical sense in the first place, you should never attempt to mod anything. And if you do attempt to mod, use some research to find out what's going on instead of turning the forums into a cess-pool of little kids with "help me" threads.

This is pretty much a 360 MODDING forum, If you dont like that then leave the forum dont be a little beatch about it.
I modded my box knowing it voids war. and i dont care.
microshaft has enough money and can deal with ppl scamming them, they can write it off in the end...
this is my first post and maybe my last.
It sucks that there are ppl like you who feel the need to police the internet. removed

thaks every one that helped...and to let you guys know i didnt even get the xbox open i couldn't get the plastic top part off....ive never seen inside of one personally and i doubt im goning to id rather not break a second one all though i don't think i broke this one i think the GPU burnt out not sure...but anyways thanks again who helped/defend me
that guy was stupid anyways im glad he got banned...he started crap for me defending someone lol but anyways thanks for the help
