ok i have moded plenty of 360's using the old extreme firmware sold my 360 and getting another one and i was reading some of the forum post about the new ixtreme firmwares and my question is do you have to get the mod chip to use this or not cause it seems like you do from the tutorial

You need a chip for the hitachi v79 drive, if you dont get that drive, then its near enough the same procedure as before.
