I've read an old thread about using ImgBurn for torrent files, but it's not working for me. I have a movie file I would like to burn, but couldn't open it with DVD Decrypter, ImgBurn, or DVD Shrink. Can someone help me please?!
Downloaded torrent files are usually AVI containers holding xvid, divx, or mkv files. These are mpeg4 type files. If you just want to store them or view them on your PC, burn them as a data DVD. If you want to watch them on a standalone DVD player that doesn't also play divx files, you must first convert them to be DVD compliant (i.e., convert to mpeg2 and use a DVD compliant fiel structure).
For conversion, you can use the freebee DVD Flick:
To just view them on your PC use Media Player Classic, Windows Media Player, or any of a number of other software players. You must have proper audio/video codecs installed. I'd recommend the K-Liet Codec Pack. It also includes Media Player Classic which I like better than WMP.
Ok so I tried that program, and the DVD will not play on my computer not my DVD player. I was unable to try it on our usual player (XBox360), but my guess is it won't work. What now?
