Hi I broke my fat psp 3.03 oe-c recently (stood on it)I got a new one of the girlfriend today, but my iso old games are not working on it...Its a psp slim 3.60m33 got off a guy on ebay that does custom firmware psp's,I used the memory stick from my old psp and that wasnt perfectly intact lol....

Games are final fantasy (Final Fantasy_jap.cso) and football manager (psy-fm07.cso)I havent moved them, just left them in Iso folder of the root, where I used to play off before with my 3.03 oe-c psp...I have 2 psx games (final fantasy 7 and metal slug in the folders psp/game and they play fine....

Memory card is not offical, but I never had a problem with it in my 3.03 oe-c psp....

So what are my options lads?

Get an offical psp, downgrade to 3.03 oe-c again, create new folder etc?

Im 21 not really into this scene anymore lol,can anyone help me lol....

M33 tends to have more side effects when dealing with fake memory sticks. I would start off by dragging the games from your memory Stick to your PSP then formating the Memory Stick and drag the games back over.

Plus you said...

I used the memory stick from my old psp and that wasn't perfectly intact
If it wasn't completely intact then the memory Stick could be screwed.

You also said "My ISO old games are not working" this is not much information.

Do you get a "Game could not be started" error?

Does it start then just go to a black screen?

More information on the ISO problem would be helpful.

I would suggest updating from 3.60 M33 to 3.71 M33-4 which you can follow this guide HERE for those steps (1.50 ADD ON is not compatible with PSP SLIM so skip that part of the guide). Make sure you format the memory Stick after the 3.71 M33-4 instillation so new folder directories can be created.

After updating to 3.71 M33-4 go HERE and install the 3.71 M33 popsloader plug-in. This is a plug-in that will make PSX game compatibility better on your SLIM. Just follow the guide for instillation and use.

Follow this guide HERE to help get your ISO/CSO files working properly off memory Stick.

Thanks for help larrylje....I made a bit of a typo there,it should have read the memory was perfectly intact,as in running perfectly...

I get the game could not be started error...

So will I go ahead with updating the firmware?

Or wait till I get an offical memory card

I would update it with the Memory Stick you have.

More then likely the "Game Could not be started" error is due to not having a UMD in the Bay or not having a NO UMD driver selected to run the ISO without a game in the Bay.

You can change to the Sony NP9660 NO UMD driver by selecting "HOME" I think for 3.60 M33 or the "Select" button for 3.71 M33.

1 of those 2 will bring up the VSH menu. Once you have brought that up go to UMD ISO Mode and change it to Sony NP9660 NO UMD and the game should then start without a UMD in the Bay (your UMD will still work when placing 1 in it. This is just a driver that will let you play an ISO/CSO without a UMD in the Bay).

But you should defiantly update to 3.71 M33-4 and install the popsloader plug-in. You should be perfectly fine using the memory stick you have as long as it seems to be working fine in the PSP.
