Following a recent windows update (12/12/07)Internet Explorer has ceased to function.
Norton cannot identify any spyware or virus problems and a restore did not work either.
Windows has not come back with a solution.
Can anyone help ?????

Download was an automatic update from windows,,not sure if this is where the problem stems from...the message when attempting to start Internet Explorer --- "Internet Explore has stopped working",,,,followed by "Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available"
Toshiba Equim running on Vista
I have also "Opera" as a seperate browser but every download I attempt, the program tries to automaticaly open in "DOS" is this a setting error on my part,????

I'd say yes, if your computer is acting the same as HELPMABOB's. surely, worth a try, can't hurt. Post back afterwards.
