Ok so heres my story....

My buddy softmodded my xbox last year with a 400 gig HD and everyone liked it so much they wanted me to do it for them this Christmas

Using the Bond Exploit I was easily able to softmod both of them with a memory card. Then I was able to upgrade the Hard drives of both using XboxHDM and then locking the Hard Drive, they both booted great. However on the first one i copied MK Deception using DVD2Xbox, when I tried to play it the Xbox rebooted. With the other one DVD2xbox would not even load up.

My friend suggested that I FTP my application files from my modded xbox, and I agreed to give it a try. This is where the real disaster happens, when I boot it up everything is gone, it still loads UnleashX and my gamesaves are all there, however none of my applications, gamesaves, or movies are there! I was literally playing the thing yesterday and never put a disc in or messed with the Hard drive.

In a perfect world I would love to get everything back from my modded Xbox, and correctly mod the others.
