Trying to mod my slim & am In desperate need of help

I just got a slim today, and already have a pandora battery. The issue I'm having is that whenever I make a magic stick when I place the pandora in the screen stays black and no menu comes up. Can anyone help?

Oh god guys I REALLY need help now. I got the menu to work, It went through and said everything installed correctly, and it loads the sony computer entertainment logo and gets to a red XMB background then turns off after a few seconds without loading the icons... T_T What's going on? Am I screwed?!?!


---I am able to get to the recovery menu by pressing the shoulder buttons while loading..--- I'm really freaking out.

Go into recovery mode,under Advanced and select Format Flash1 and reset settings.
