my vote goes to memorex dvd+r media. in my opinion this wins the vote for me. ive tested my movies with over 5 dvd players, and they all play great. even my v4 ps2. that's why i havent really bought nothing else than memorex. bought, 1 50pk, 2, 25pk, and today ill buy another 50pk. so as you can see im really comftarble with memorex media. hope this helps in any way

174 Y power's Ritek GO4's only 2 bad disk's.
I use them for Movies and Xbox games.
55 Silver top Ritek GO4's no bad disk's.
30 Princo 1x 10 bad disk's and if I fill the disk up to the edge with movies it skips and freezes.
Riteks work great for me.

Verbatim Datalife DVD-R 4x - they're great.
Ricoh Gold DVD+R 4x - these are good, too
Princos don't work well on my Sony DRU-500.

The results on dvd-recordable.net aren't exactly what i'd call a very extensive list of DVD's (just 4 to choose from, and that excludes any Japanese-made media), it's also rather UK specific so is completely useless to most people on here.

UK specific? So nobody on this site buys Ritek, Memorex, etc etc? I think you will find that most brands of disc sold cheaply in the states will be either Ritek or Princo too. Maybe they should have included Princo but then exactly which ones as they are all different and few exactly in the quality league? I think DVD-recordable have already narrowed it down to the four discs most people tend to buy for pricing and quality so I think it will be quite useful to users of this site. The fact that the brands happen to be all Taiwanese is neither here nor there.

Hi all,
I have not had much luck with Ritek DVDplusR's so far. Or at least not the Ink jet printable ones. I am able to burn and play in the burning pc, but none of the movies I burned to those disks played in any of my component DVD players.
KHypermedia disks have worked great for me. Have not had a bad disk and have never wasted one. Guess I'll keep making labels ;'p

Should there even be a voe. Factually evidence supports only Ritek at the top. More speciffically, Traxdata media, unless you wish to spend £4 a disc on thebultra great Pioneer discs, which i doubt you do.
