Alright im going to get a 360 soon but im wondering if its worth it. Are all of the problems fixed like the red ring of death and disc scratching? But when i get it i would want to put custom firmware on it so my discs dont get scratched but should i do it right away or wait? How long should i wait until i can be somewhat sure it wont get the red ring of death? And whats the best firmware for the types of drives? all help is appreciated. thnx.

I think the 360 is worth it! I love it because of Xbox Live! The RRoD problems haven't really been fixed yet, and some 360's are scratching discs (even though I called M$ about mine doing that, and they said that the 360's don't do that!)! For FW you can get the ixtreme FW, but it doesn't fix a scratching issue!

i can any 1 help me plz my xbox been flahed for a whil and it just started playin up on me when i play my back up game it dose not load some times it takes for ever and when it dose load it loads and gose blank but it playes the normal games ok.

I cant mod it anyway... i just went out today and bought the last elite gamestop had and its got a phillips drie in it...anyone think that theyll have a firmware for this in the future? And is it possible to hook a xbox dvd rom drive up to xbox thru usb kinda like the hd drive they sell in the stores?
