I just wanted to let everyone know that because I have heard alot of people asking if a 4 GB MSPD would work. I'm not sure if any other brand of Memory Stick would work, or if and 8GB will. Happy pandorising (if that's a word)!
Hey you should make a new thread saying what you just said and maybe people can confirm...your question about 8Gb ones
And who want's to use a 4GB MSPD as a MMS ??? All that space would be wastedeven 256 is plenty for pandora MMS....
:)
Lol...yup you are right..i have a 1gb MMS and can't wait to get a 256Mb so that i won't waste all those 800 and something megabytes...i could probably fit like 2 or 3 isos and my GBA emulator...hehe
In fact a 128 MB is fine cause the NAND and the pandora files will fit but I don't see a reason why they don't allow it.. they said only 256 - 2 GB MS...
:)

I don't think because they said only 256 MB to 2 GB is allowed but some are saying the guy above us said that 4 GB does work but this isn't confirmed..

after i do this step in creating my magic stick, it doesnt follow up like it does in the tut.

Select Option 4 "Universal unbricker for FAT or SLIM (This installs custom firmware 3.71 M33-2)"

Type 4 and Press ENTER

it then goes to say who made it/ the credits then says "press any key to cont". i checked my mms and there are no files at all in it. i noticed the next step is to drag and drop, then replace some files manually. so i extracted the slimpan folder and put them onto the card manually, because i see in the tut that these files "should" be on the stick after the installer is finished. when i go to my stick with the psp it shows these files:
3.71 m33-4
OS pandora battery tool 0.3
M33 3.71 update ver 1.5
Pandora Ext. for slim 3.60 M33 installer
last file says "corrupted data"

so the installer dint go as planned so can someone please help?

Iv used a 4GB MS before and it worked perfectly fine. It just really depends on the stick.

Try doing the steps again. If your running Vista on your OS you might need to find someone that has XP as there OS and do the steps on there computer.

because it requires atleast pro duo sticks which 256 mb and more supports and for 4gb sticks they do not work for normal pandora ie 1.5 downgrade, because 1.5 firmware does not support memory sticks above 2 gb.i hope that clears it up for everyone.

These are the files you should have after creating the Magic Memory Stick (This includes the ADD_ON folder applications and the deletion of despertar_cementerio and pan3xx folder).

You should have all these files in the PSP Root.

Since you Hardmodded your battery the only folders you really need in the /PSP/GAME folder is the 150kernelAddOn and the Update folder.

I used a 4GB stick when the first Pandora Battery application came out (original 1.50 MMS). That was all I had and everything worked perfectly fine. So as I said it just depends on the Memory Stick itself.

I even used a 4GB stick when downgrading my son's first 2.71 PSP to 1.50 and used it to upgrade to custom firmware.

So 4GB sticks are compatible with 1.50 firmware. They might not read all 4GB but it does read the stick.

ok so i have all the files on there that you posted. the mms should technically work. when i created the battery, i snipped the 1 wire that i was supposed to. when i put in the modified pandora battery with the new mms i created, only the little power light lights up green, but nothing else happens. the screen is still black as if it had been turned off. so my question is, if my memory stick was wrong, some kind of prompt or whatever would come up on the screen if the pandora battery was working right? im trying to narrow down the problem to maybe my battery.

please be patient with me, i know i sound like a noob but i have done everything i was supposed to but nothing.

- Insert the pandora battery and the memory stick in the psp slim. It will boot. You won't see
anything on the screen, because that kernel doesn't support the slim screen, but it is OK, you
don't need a screen for the installation of 3.60 M33.

From here, you have 3 options:

- Press X to install M33. The process will last just few seconds, since the installer only
needs to install the M33 custom prx's and IPL. After the process is finished, the installer
will shutdown the psp automatically.

From the install instruction guides

This is not the case with the Universal Unbricker V3 which is used in the linked guide provided. It has video support for SLIM PSP's so the screen will show on it.
