hi, im trying to flash an hitachi v47, but cant seem to get to mode b.

ive flashed 2 previuosly a benq and an hitachi v78 (i think) with no probs.

but im trying this v47 using the slax disc and a via pci sata card , slax seems to load up but the drive isnt in mode b. can anyone offer and advice please?

i've flashed a few of these... and sometimes the green lights on the 360 wont "blink rapidly" like they say when your in mode b, but if it still takes 2 presses to open or close the drive YOU ARE in mode b

nothing seems to happen, drive stays as normal, 1 press to open . i have all other drives except cd drives disconected.so why aint slax doing its thing ?

it might be the process you are doing, to ensure slax to work properly you need to turn on your computer then wait like 5 seconds and then turn the 360 on. also try to have a dvd movie or game in the drive when doing so, and also make sure the sata connection is in the port facing the front of the computer. then when slax is scanning the ports and it should say spinning up disc when it finds the port the xbox is on, when that happens open the drive tray and it should continue. but remember you need to push the eject button 3 times to make sure the drive stays closed. also another reason could be your drivers for the via card are not installed or not installed correctly. one more thing make sure you are using slax 2.1 not 2.0

if the slax disc doesn't seem to work jus6t

open the disc drive and pull the power cord out and wthe disc tray will stay open. than it WILL be in mode b

Are you supposed to type anything in Slax? I get to a login screen but nothing major seems to happen prior to that. I'll retry it tomorrow night I spose!
