I just got a PSP slim for christmas a couples days ago and without searching, i updated to 3.80, and that cant run homebrew and ISOs. I read a tutorial on this site about soft modding my battery but when i opened it up, i didnt see anything similar to the one shown. Could someone help me? Please tell me on how i can run homebrew now...

Sorry for the double post but heres what i got.

- PSP Slim with 3.80 Firmware
- 1 1gb Sony Memory Stick ProDuo
- 1 2.0gb SanDisk Memory Stick ProDuo
- Sony Batery Pack 3.6v 1200mAh
- A knife
- A small screwdriver

I attempted to open the batery pack earlier, but as stated in my first post, it looked nothing like the one the tutorial had pictured.

Please help me.

slim batteries aren't hardmodded; it's possible to flash them but you need a custom firmware psp already.

you need to use an official sony fat battery.

ps2: v7 scph-39001 - independence exploit - hdloader 0.8c - maxtor 300gb hdd
(+[__]%) psp slim ta-085v1: 6.60 PRO B10
wii (powered by bootmii/priiloader): 4.1u - d2x v10beta53-alt (base 56) - configurable usb loader v70r51/devolution r188 - wd scorpio black 7200rpm 320gig w/ ams venus ds2 enclosure

got a whole lot more to list . . .

Where can i get a fat battery at? How much do they cost? Can i do this without the fat battery? Will the fat battery work in my slim?

a fat battery will fit in your slim, you just can't put the cover on. another option would be to buy a datel tool battery. it is already pandora-ized, so all you need is to create a ms. hope that helps

I still play my wii, just not as much. Gave my PSP to my son.

check out here. larrylje makes it pretty simple. if you already have the battery then you can skip part of it.

yep, all you have to do i connect you psp to you computer and then drop iso's in the iso folder, and homebrew in either the game or game150 folder. Most homebrew will tell you where you need to put it. it's all pretty easy once you get the firmware installed.

Can you tell me if this is right?

I get the Datel Battery tool and put it into where my current battery is and then use my 1gb of memory (memory stick duo, it came with my psp) to make a magic stick and i would be set?

All i need is to download some files to make a magic stick, am i correct? And i read somewhere that you can convert your ps1 games to play them on the psp, can you really do this?

Thankyou for anwering my questions. I know i have alot of them and i deeply appreciate all your help.

insert the magic memory stick in the psp then insert the datel tool battery and you will see a menu with two options one to install sony official firmware and the other the one that you want to install 3.71m33-2 custom firmware
http://my.afterdawn.com/larrylje_redwings/blog_entry.cfm/2501

ps1 games must be in eboot.pbp file format(you should have a eboot.pbp and a keys.bin file)
if you have the original games you can convert them with psx2psp
http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/524060
if you have games with more than one cd use this to convert them to only one eboot file
http://www.psp-hacks.com/2007/12/28/impa...reator-updated/

if you download the games they should already be eboot files

then to play the games you need to create a folder with the name of the game and put the eboot and the keys.bin in that folder ,then put that folder in the GAME folder
for example metal gear

ms:\PSP\GAME\METALGEAR\EBOOT.PBP and KEYS.BIN

then in the xmb menu(psp menu) go to game-» memory stick to run the game

to run some games you will need the popsloader plugin
