hi i'm new here and i'm noob also. I have an old psp. system software is 3.10 OE-A. but I think it's CFW because I can play games from snes and without original umd. I have games on my mem stick such as nba, tekken, mario etc. But when I downloaded silenthill origins and metal gear and put it in the ISO folder and starts to play it, it says: game could not be started (80020148).

Please help me run those games. thanks.

You probably need to upgrade your CFW.

Try downgrading back to 1.50 (via Recovery Mode) Then upgrading to 3.52M33 or 3.71M33. =]

are you trying to say that I put the file in the wrong folder?

When I got my psp it has an ISO folder already with games in it and a game150 folder also which contain my snes games. Now when I downloaded silent hill and placed it in the ISO folder, it appears in the memo stick along with my previous iso games, but the silent hill when executed, it says: game could not be started (80020148).

You can download the 3.10oe-a recovery folder from here. And download the 1.50 EBOOT from here Put the Recovery folder in ms0/PSP/GAME and rename the 1.50 EBOOT to UPDATE.pbp and place it in the recovery folder. Then boot into recovery mode and choose run program at ms0/PSP/GAME/RECOVERY/EBOOT.PBP or something like that. Then you should at 1.50. Once you get there you'll need to upgrade to at least 3.52M33 and you shouldn't get the error anymore when trying to run ISO's. =]
