Hi,
Hope someone can help - please!
I burned 2 avi movie files onto a blank DVD-RW and all was well (they played fine on my PS3), but when I put the disc back into my laptop to erase and burn some new files the player doesn't recognise there is a disc in there!?!
It works fine and recognises audio CD's and video DVD's though. Can anyone tell me why this may have happened?
Thanks

apparently the DVD-RW aren't compatible with the laptop or the standalone DVD player use either the DVD dash R format or the DVD plus R

also when burning DVD-RW keep it at 4x max burn speed

Thanks SoZoIV. I am guessing it could be that but my laptop actually says it is compatible - must have burned it on the wrong speed. Am going to try DVD+RW instead at 4x burn speed.
Thanks again.

Saying that - why does it still recognise the DVD-RW that I have burned a DVD file onto and not the one with the DivX files on?

oh ok its the divx files thats the problem then, try converting the divx file to a ISO file and you should be ok
