Hey all, I just got a new PSP slim 3.60 and i was wondering if i can downgrade properly with a pandora's battery and magic memory stick so i can play roms and so on, which is why i wanted it in the first place lol. Also my friend has a 2.71 and he can play roms fine, can i somehow make use of his PSP to make mine able to play roms? Thanks =)

you need pandora's battery and the magic memory stick is the only way to install a custom firmware in your slim psp

but the slim psp doesn't support all homebrew you can check here which homebrew is compatible with the slim

to do everything only with your psp you can follow this guide to prepare the magic memory stick
http://my.afterdawn.com/larrylje_redwings/blog_entry.cfm/2501

and then or you buy a datel tool battery
http://www.consoleshop.com/product.php?p...ooglebase&bid=3

or you hardmod your battery
http://www.psp-hacks.com/2007/10/22/one-...uired/#comments

if you hardmod your battery you need to solder one wire
to turn the battery back to normal you need to remove the wire

Hi!
I have a PSP Slim with firmware 3.60 BUT I dont have a Fat PSP for doing this..... :S

In any case, from the instructions posted here, the Fat PSP is only required so that the necessary files are copied to the memory card.
So, can anybody do an image of the memory card (after the instalation of the files on the Fat PSP) and make it available here...?

That way I can:
- Copy the image provided (hopefully.. :) ) to my memory card (with linux 'dd' or something...);
- Hardmod my own batery (as posted previously by smlvfx)
- Install the files on my PSP Slim
- De-hardmod batery

If this works, it gets even easier to hack PSP Slims :D
Thanks!
