1) If I buy a BD-Rom for my PC and rip my BD Movies to my HDD using it, what do the files end up as? MPEG2... MPEG4...? Etc.

2) Most of them would probably be huge, 20gb+ right? How do you compress them?

yea blu rays are a minimum of 25 gigs.

1) theres no compression software
or software that elinimates special featrues/audio options/
2) so that we can choose movie only
just like we do on dvdshrink/clone/fab and anydvd ..
3) theres only two plain softwares that rip the whole bd/hddvd disk to harddrive
but we can play fom the HDD and another good thing is
if we have lcd tv with vga/dvi or even hdmi in put we can hookup our cpu to tv and the use as monitor to play the bd/hddvd content
(i hope iam right on the 3 step)
