what does this mean do u have to solder or install anything in to the xbox 360 or what iam lost

If it's one of the Hitachi models that you have to install a passkey then you have to solder IIRC.

What people are reffering to by chipset is the various types of chipset on the computer you will be using to flash your xbox360.
Some chipsets are not compatable and many people have bought a Via 6421 Sata card to install in theyre pc as these are the most compatable.
