what is the smalest format that you can put on a dvd like mpeg and stuff like that so that you can put more videos?

All the "stuff" you put on a DVD must be in MPEG2 format -> no other format will work.

When encoding your MPEG2 files, use TMPGEnc's Wizard function to set what percentage of the disc you want that particular video to use. That way you can maximize your use of space and include as much as you want.

However, the bottom line is: the more content you squeeze onto a DVD, the lower the quality of the picture.
