Rock Band Strat Problems

I got rock band a couple days ago for Xmas, and I have having problems with the guitar, it seems like I have to hit the flap down really hard to it to work, and sometimes even when i do it doesn't work, anyone else have this problem? is it just my guitar or are the strats crap?

I only have GHIII but from what my friends and the online community are saying is that the strat is indeed crap. Most people have to resort to using the GHIII controller to play Rockband.

Common problems I've heard of are the strum bar failing, issues getting star power to go off, and issues with the actual buttons (a buddy of mine cant play yellow notes).

If you have a GHIII guitar I'd use that. Otherwise I'd return the game. If for some reason you can't return the game contact Harmonix. I'm sure they've been bitched at a lot by now, but it's gotta be a matter of time before they issue a recall.

yeah I have been using the GH3 controller, but the strat has a lot of cool features like the solo buttons and being able to change how your guitar sounds, its just kind of a bummer that it doesn't work. Are all of the strats faulty? cuz if so I wont even bother returning it

I can't say for certain all will fail...however I would say their failure rate is higher than the 360's (which is 1 in 3).

wow thats pathetic, well I found a link that has a do it yourself fix doesn't seem to hard, unfortunately its just for the down strum issue so I dont think it will help your friend
