How can I check the version of my Wiikey?

Can someone tell me how I can check the version of my Wiikey...?
I've read the other (excellent) posts on updating: but nothing to say how you can check the version you do have.

I played Wario Smooth Moves.
Disc not read at first... but OK afterwards.
(Rubbish game though!)
Burnt on high quality media: HP DVD-R.

I played Mario + Sonic Olympic games.
All OK.
Burnt on very low quality bulk media.

Tried SMG (without reading post first!).
Standard error: unauthorised device.

Wario Smooth Moves not working at all now.
Mario + Sonic still working fine though.

From what I've read about SMG: my unit should have stopped working... (until I update Wiikey)??

Also: SMG didn't ask to update (or try to automatically update).

Also: I have the latest firmware installed - 3.1E.
Wii is PAL.

Any comments on the above would be great.

You cannot check which version you have.

Stop using crappy media. Use Verbatim or Taiyo Yuden.

"But it works just fine!" yeah you will say that now but later on you will get DREs and other problems.

To fix the SMG problem just download the Wiikey 1.9g update, burn it onto a high quality DVD, and then put it in your Wii. Update.

i have tdk and memorex dvd's available to me.
would these be classified as being ok??

i had one backup on low quality media, this worked fine .... until yesterday when it gave dre's

i copied the disc onto my usual maxell discs and no problems since
