I just unbricked my psp slim using pandoras battery and nandtool I set the firmware to 3.71m33 , the psp now turns on and has the sound comes on (signifying its not bricked) but does not show picture , the picture sometimes reveals itself after a fex minutes but then goes away after a button is touched , the recovery menu is there and theres only 2 problems , one the picture wont show and 2 the psp shuts off by itself ,(with full battery and ac cord attached) i only had this psp for about 2 months.

i tried to use the pandora battery 3 times to fix it when this problem occured , i even restored it to an official firmware at one point , the only thing that happened with the official firmware was that the screen would come on but then would freeze. i hope my psp circuits arent fried or something . please if u have any knowledge that might help i would greatly appreciate it .

Try pressing the brightness button. What you're experiencing happened a while ago during the time when people downgraded to the 1.50 Firmware.

Try this.

Download the 3.71 M33 firmware, and put the files from "UPDATE" folder, and put EBOOT.PBP and umdmodule.prx in /PSP/GAME/RECOVERY. Make sure the 3.71 firmware is in the RECOVERY folder too.

Then, in Recovery Mode, select 'Launch program at /PSP/GAME/UPDATE/EBOOT.PBP.

i had a problem kinda like that when i used pandora (this was only because i had a custom theme on my cfw psp that i used to create my mms with). i would get the time and date and that was all. what i had to do was go into recovery and reformat flash1. this worked great for me. your other option is to create another mms.

I still play my wii, just not as much. Gave my PSP to my son.

Your best option now is to do what CK said. It sounds like you have a semi-brick, I have no experience on slims though, but that is my opinion and it makes sence. You can access recovery but cannot access the XMB... so a complete reflash may be neccesary.

I suggested what CKhaleel said...on a different thread...but that does't work on slim...so larry created a guide to help you reflash your SLIM psp...this is the only way for now....but good idea CKhaleel...i thought it would work...but the same thing happened to the other person..it would just sit there and not do anything...but then found i out that you can run a pandora application on the recovery menu and that helped create the guide HERE...;)

So @kidrome1

Just use the guide i gave a link to and your psp will be back to normal in no time...:D

We were thinking the same thing Rodgrik cause i tried that , it says its designed to fix the exact files that i have corrupted which are
OxOOO4,5,6,42,46,and 47 but when i ran it twice and the only one it was able to fix was 0x0006. is there a better tool to use that does the same thing?

Sounds like you could have possibly messed up your ID Storage beyond the repair of what Key Cleaner can fix. This was probably due to using the RECOVERY folder files for FAT PSP systems only.

When you run KeyCleaner what type of motherboard is it reporting you have?

The best solution you have is if you happened to make a backup of your NAND. If you did then restore it with Universal Unbricker V3. If you didn't then it might not ever be recoverable again to normal.
