Hiya,
I've followed countless instructions over the net to try and get my downloaded games to work on firmware but I just think I'm doing it all wrong or something.
My PSP version is 3.71 and I would appreciate if anyone could help me run my games from my Memory Stick on here.
Cheers.

That is 3.71M33?

ISO files should be placed in the ISO folder on the root of your memory stick.

If you do not have one create a folder OR format the Memory stick (back up saves etc).

Enter recorvey and select NO-UMD or UMD enabled, choice is yours, just one requires a UMD.... Without UMD it saves battery life when playing backed up UMD's.

PsP#1 : 2.01>3.71M33-4>3.80 M33-5
PsP#2 (Slim) : 3.80>3.90M33-2 All hail the UPMS Stck
If you need a UPMS Stick go here and then go here :-) *As recommended by January39

If I put the cso file in an ISO folder on the root menu I can't seem to access the file anywhere on my PSP :(
Is there any other way?

All ISO files and CSO files will go into the ISO folder, and should be displayed in your XMB game menu. You Are on CFW?

The files are named correctly XXXXXxx.cso etc

As if not they will likely show as corrupted or not at all.

Sorry I'm a bit dumb with all this, but I don't know what the XMB is or what CFW is either. What are they? Lol.

Click settings>system>system information - That will tell you what Firmware you are on. XMB refers to the Main menu when you turn on the psp. :-)

Without[/b] C[/b] ustom F irm W are you cannot back up or play any ISO.

Oh right, thanks :P
I'm not on any custom firmware at the moment, I've tried downloading some before but apparently because my System Software is Version 3.71 the firmware wouldn't work or something. I'm not sure, I only follow the instructions I'm given. Lol.
What firmware would I need and where could I find it?
Cheers. :)

You WILL need CFW in order to play ISO and if you have not got it....

If it States 3.71 M33 you have CFW. if it just states 3.71 you do not.

Everything you need can be found here, just use search bar or check the Forum index.

Ok from the the firmware i think you have a SLIM+Lite Psp and this means you will need a Pandora Battery + MMS to D/g.

Good starting point is http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/569423

Good Luck
