Hey guys, iv been searching everywhere for a solution and couldnt find a straightforward guide that suits me. And i remembered this forum and how many times it has saved my life, :)
here it goes;
i have a psp version 3.71, and i have to downgrade it. Apparently the only way is use 'pandoras battery', and i read you need another psp (Which i do no have/cannot get/borrow). So i would like to know if there is a way, and a step by step guide ( i can be a bit slow sometimes, bear with me please).
I have 1 Gb memory stick and the original psp.
A few questions;
is it true that through this 'pandoras bat'process, u can risk bricking ur psp?how?how big are the chances?
can i reverse the 'pandoras bat' back to normal?
If i cannot reverse (for some reason), i can buy another psp battery and ill be good to go, right?
meaning this process will only be effecting the battery, not the psp?
Thank you guys, any help is highly appreciated

if by hardmod, you mean those bulky (original) psp batteries, then thats the 1 i have (not the slim ones).
I have a really good feeling about that youtube vid, it seems helpful as long as i know the program and the risks of this pandora battery

The only other option would be buying a Datel Tool Battery or find someone that has a custom firmware PSP to MOD your PSP or make a Pandora Battery for you.

you can't use that because it's only for use with custom firmware psp's.
you have to either hardmod, buy the datel tool battery, or borrow a custom firmware psp.
ps2: v7 scph-39001 - independence exploit - hdloader 0.8c - maxtor 300gb hdd
(+[__]%) psp slim ta-085v1: 6.60 PRO B10
wii (powered by bootmii/priiloader): 4.1u - d2x v10beta53-alt (base 56) - configurable usb loader v70r51/devolution r188 - wd scorpio black 7200rpm 320gig w/ ams venus ds2 enclosure
got a whole lot more to list . . .

does such act of pure kindness exist in this day of age? :)
joking.. That would be nice but i wouldnt expect something like that (wouldnt mind it tho, loL), this is a forum afterall, not a charitable centre.
Good thought though.
and what about my video problem, any one know why? is it also due to the fact that i need to downgrade in order to play vids (i mean i can play music and view photos)

some one was kind enough to let me borrow their psp (version 2.81). Now i can create this pandoras battery. i would really appreciate it if someone from this forum can take me through it, (as this is one of the only resources i trust).
I am also scared about this bricking buisness; how if i do one thing wrong (while installin this pandoras batt) i can brick my psp.
Thanks people
(ill have this other psp for another 2/3 hours, so i would really appreciate any help soon)

you cant create a pandora's battery on a psp with sony official firmware 2.81
you can only do it in a psp with sony firmware 1.5 or in a psp with custom firmware

You need a PSP that has custom firmware installed on it. 2.81 is not custom firmware so it will not help you to create the Pandora Battery.
The only option you would have is downgrading the 2.81 to 1.50 using a Lumines game exploit downgrader. But this requires the Lumines Game to do it.

The game needs to be the unpatched version.
Place the UMD in the UMD bay and go to the Game Menu and check to see what update is on the UMD Disk.
If it is 2.0 it is the unpatched game and it will work. If it is higher I think 2.6 it has been patched and will not work.
If you have the unpatched version go HERE and follow the guide under the section of -2.81 - 3.03 Any Motherboard.
before doing this to your friends PSP you better make sure it is cool with him.
